This notice explains how CIVSEC GROUP LIMITED (company number 14869477) handles personal information about applicants, candidates and prospective workers. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.
Information we may collect
We may collect identity and contact details, employment history, qualifications, licences, availability, references, interview notes, right-to-work information and other information you provide. Where relevant and lawful for a security role, we may process vetting, criminal-record, health or equal-opportunities information subject to appropriate safeguards.
How we use it
We use information to assess suitability, communicate with you, verify qualifications and eligibility, conduct proportionate screening, make recruitment decisions, establish an employment or engagement relationship, keep recruitment records and meet legal, regulatory or security obligations.
Lawful bases
Processing may be necessary to take steps before a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in safe and effective recruitment, or, where applicable, rely on consent or another condition permitted for special-category or criminal-offence data.
Sharing
Information may be shared with authorised Civsec personnel, clients where role placement requires it, professional advisers, screening and vetting providers, referees, technology providers and public authorities where lawful and necessary. We do not sell applicant information.
Retention
Unsuccessful-candidate records are retained only for a proportionate period for recruitment, legal and audit purposes. If you are engaged, relevant information becomes part of your worker or personnel record and is retained under the applicable retention requirements.
